(Fargo, ND) -- The City of Fargo and Fargo Lions Club are hosting a joint ribbon cutting for “The Spirit of the Sandbagger” monument located at the northeast corner of 1st Ave. N. and 2nd St. in Fargo at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15th.
The donor-funded monument recognizes both the 100-year anniversary of the Fargo Lions Club as well as the selfless commitment to service of the thousands of past volunteers in Fargo flood fights.
Fargo Mayor Dr. Tim Mahoney, Lions Club President Joe Dobbs and Project Manager Jane Pettinger will provide remarks as “The Spirit of the Sandbagger” is gifted to The City of Fargo.
