Dry forecast and heating up!

Over the last few weeks, we've picked up some much needed rainfall. This did help out areas around the RRV but even though areas around the Devil's Lake basin received some much needed rain, it's a bit too late for many.  As the maps show, and as we've predicted now we go into a dry stretch and temps above normal for the next 1 to 2 weeks.  This week holds a gradual warming trend with temps warming from the mid 80s into the lower 90s by Friday.  Typically we would get pretty gusty winds as the warmer/hot air arrives but not this week.   The upcoming holiday weekend holds some hot temps in the mid 90s before a "cool" front arrives on the 4th giving us a chance for a few storms and cooler weather for Monday the 5th.   July and August, on average, looks warmer than normal and drier than normal.
