Dangerous....life threatening cold with near blizzard conditions?

Winter has it's grip on most of the U.S. as the coldest air of the season slides in.  For our area, winter weather advisories are in effect for 3-6" of snow through Thursday morning.  Winds will ramp up Thursday and Friday producing blowing and drifting snow with reduced visibilities near zero. Travel will be difficult over the next few days and is not recommended until LATE Friday when winds lighten up a bit.  Blizzard to near blizzard conditions will be evident in our area Thursday and Friday.  Please make sure you have a winter weather survival kit packed in your car.   Life threatening wind chills of -40 to 55 below will occur Thu/Fri.
