The latest drought monitor index has just been updated and with no surprise, ND/MN drought conditions have deteriorated:
We are now in a D2 or severe drought. However, there is SOME good news as some much needed rain will be pushing into the area today into this evening. It WON’T be widespread rain but some areas are expected to pick up some isolated heavier rainfall with thunderstorms:
Note around Fargo….around 1″ of rain while just 20 miles west, not much at all. That’s the hit and miss nature of these storms. One thing for sure is the heaviest rain falling into SD into MN.
