Wildlife Officials Concerned About Wind Farm's Proximity to Sage Grouse

(Bismarck, ND) -- Wildlife officials are concerned about a proposed wind farm's proximity to sage grouse country in southwestern North Dakota.

A hearing was held Tuesday in front of the state Public Service Commission, which has to decide whether to issue the siting permit for the wind farm.

A labor union wants the project developer to hire local workers to build the wind farm.

The southwestern part of North Dakota is the only place in the state where the sage grouse lives.
