Ground broken on new UND flight operations center

GRAND FORKS, N.D. –  Grand Forks officials have broken ground on a new aviation center.

The University of North Dakota Flight Operations Center will have a 28,000 square foot facility valued at $36 million.

The project adds new technology and expands the center’s overcrowded space. A new dispatch center, bookstore, and event space are also part of the plans.

Construction is expected to take 18 months with crews scheduled to start next month.
