BISMARCK – North Dakotans are continuing to choose to travel by air.
That distinction is supported by the latest airline passenger report from the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission.
The commission says that, in August of this year, North Dakota’s eight commercial service airports set an all-time high for passenger boardings – 112,982 passengers boarded planes, up from the previous record of 108,035, set last year. The commission also noted seven of the eight airports reported growth compared to last year at this same time – the state’s 16th consecutive month of record-breaking passenger traffic.
Hector International Airport set an August record with 50,867 boardings – 2,000 more than the previous high set in August 2024.
