Trump’s aid package for farmers welcomed by Hoeven, Fedorchak

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven and Representative Julie Fedorchak are welcoming the new 12-billion-dollar farm aid package.

On Monday, President Trump announced aid to support American farmers who have been hit hard his trade policies.  Hoeven said the assistance will help producers in the short-term and ensure they aren’t used as leverage in future trade agreements.  Fedorchak noted the Farmer Bridge Assistance Program provides broad relief to row crop farmers.

Farmers who qualify for the program can expect payments to be released by February 28th.
