FRAZEE, MINN. – A man is dead after an incident in Frazee early Saturday morning.
The Becker County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance before 3 a.m. in the 700 block of West Ash Avenue. While the deputies were responding to the scene, there was a report of shots fired with one victim believed to have been hit. Four suspects were believed to have left the scene in a black-colored SUV.
Deputies arrived and found a 19-year-old victim. Life-saving measures were performed at the scene before the victim was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim’s name is not being released, as family members are being notified.
The suspect vehicle was located a short time later north of Perham by deputies from Ottertail County. Four individuals, who all are believed to be connected to the shooting, have been detained by authorities.
The incident is believed to be isolated, with no further threat to the public.
The incident is under investigation.
