One stabbed in downtown Fargo assault

FARGO, N.D. – A man suffered serious but non-life-threatening stab wounds after a stabbing near a business downtown late Saturday night in Fargo.

Sergeant Bradley Cernik tells Flag Family News that authorities were called to the area near the Empire at 424 Broadway North at just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Multiple callers reported that a male had suffered a stab wound near the business.

First responders arrived to find the man with multiple stab wounds. He was transported to a local hospital.

Police say a person of interest was detained and later released, and they’re still searching for the suspect in the assault. Several witnesses were spoken to and police say the assault appears to not be random in nature.
