Minnesota Vikings second year kicker, Will Reichard, has been named the NFC’s Special Teams Player of the Month from December/January.
Reichard helped the Vikings end the season on a five-game winning streak to wrap up the season during the month plus. He connected on all 24 kicking opportunities with 12 extra points and 12 field goals. Reichard hit three field goals of 50+ yards, including a long of 56 yards.
Additionally, Reichard is the first Vikings player to earn monthly special teams honors since kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson earned the same honor in September of 2013. Plus, Reichard is only the third kicker in franchise history to earn the honor, joining Fuad Reveiz in December of 1994 and Blair Walsh in December of 2012.
During the 2025 season, Reichard went 33-for-35 on field goals and 31-for-31 on extra points. Both missed kicks on the season appeared to have hit support wires, but the NFL denied the Vikings appeals to remove the kicks from the stat line.
Minnesota ended the season with a 9-8 record and will have the No. 18 pick in the first round April’s NFL Draft.
