DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (Valley News Live) – Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have been confirmed in Detroit Lakes.

A Valley News Live reporter on scene said the agents were reported at multiple locations, including Walmart.

This comes a day after the Don Pablo’s Mexican restaurant in Detroit Lakes temporarily closed its doors due to the rumored presence of ICE agents.

The scope of the agency’s activity in the area is not known at this time, but the agency is conducting what Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem called the “largest immigration operation ever” in Minnesota.

A campaign event for Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan in the city continued as scheduled as she’s campaigning for a Senate seat.
