ALEXANDRIA, Minn. – A man is dead after being shot in Alexandria, Minnesota.
Officers went to the 1700 block of 6th Avenue East around 1:16 AM on Tuesday, January 20th. They say they found a man inside a home with a gunshot wound to the chest.
North Memorial Ambulance workers tried to save the man’s life, but he died.
Police say there’s no risk to the public, the man’s identity will be released once family is notified and a review is finished by the medical examiner’s office.
The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is helping Alexandria Police with the investigation.
