Fargo firefighters respond to garage, dumpster fire Thursday

FARGO, N.D. – Fargo firefighters were busy Thursday afternoon responding to a pair of fires within 45 minutes of each other.

According to Fire Marshal Ryan Erickson, crews were called to the 1700 block of 20th Avenue South at around 3:45 p.m. for a garage fire. That’s just north of I-94 and east of 25th Street South. When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from the eaves of the garage and extinguished a small fire in the garage.

Then at around 4:20 p.m., crews were called to the 2700 block of Cobblestone Court South for a dumpster on fire, just north of the Prairiewood Golf Course. They arrived to find a construction dumpster fully involved with fire. Crews extinguished the fire and contained it to within the dumpster.

Crews were on the scene of the fire on 20th Avenue South for more than three hours and for more than two hours on Cobblestone Court South, according to the app Pulsepoint.

No one was injured.
