OTTER TAIL COUNTY, Minn. – A man was taken to the hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the hand near Dalton, Minnesota.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office was contacted around 4:00 PM on Thursday, January 29.
Authorities said 62-year-old Scott Johnson was holding a handgun in a garage when it slipped. Before hitting the floor, he tried to grab the gun and it went off with a bullet went into his left hand.
Johnson was taken to a Fergus Falls hospital by his wife.
The sheriff’s office is still investigating the shooting.
