UPDATED: Fargo Police investigating stabbing near the Bismarck Tavern

UPDATE AT 4:15 PM:

FARGO, N.D. – A man suffered serious injuries early Saturday afternoon after being stabbed.

Fargo Police say it happened at around 12:15 p.m. in the 500 block of Broadway North.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male who alleged another adult male, who was known to him, had stabbed him. Officers were able to quickly locate the person of interest in this incident in a nearby business and detain him without incident.

As the investigation progressed, officers learned the two individuals got into a physical altercation, which led to the stabbing. Additionally, the male who had been stabbed was transported to a local medical facility with serious injuries. There are no parties outstanding and there is no risk to the public related to this incident.

At this time, no arrests have been made. This remains an ongoing investigation, and no additional information is available.

FARGO, N.D. – Fargo Police are investigating a stabbing incident.

Neighborhood Services Sergeant Sam Bollman tells Flag Family News that an investigation is underway in the area of the Bismarck Tavern, located at 522 Broadway North.

Valley News Live reported a male caller contacted police stating he had been stabbed. The caller also reported that the individual who stabbed him was still on scene, standing outside the door and allegedly armed with a knife. Officers responded to the scene to investigate and secure the area.

“At this point it is still very early in the investigation and we will release more information when we can,” Bollman told Flag Family News.
