On Tuesday, February 10, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference announced University of North Dakota Junior defensemen Abram Wiebe as the leagues Defenseman of the Week.
He tallied four assists in last weekends split at No. 10 ranked Minnesota Duluth. His four assists were the most among NCHC defensemen. Additionally, Wiebe posted a +2 in the plus/minus rating while also blocking two shots.
In 28 games this season, Wiebe has tallied three goals and 16 assists for 19 total points. He currently ranks fifth among NCHC defensemen in assists.
North Dakota will now host No. 20 ranked Miami in a weekend series beginning on Friday at 7:07 p.m.
