SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Republican State Representative Jim Joy of Hawley says the price of electricity has gone up 15% in Clay and Becker Counties.

“One of the things we need to do in Minnesota if lift the nuclear moratorium. This would help us start working to the path of clean energy. If they’re serious about this, the Democrats will join us as colleagues and get this done,” Joy said.

The DFL Party platform calls nuclear power an unviable energy source.
