Bachmeier to seek full term as Superintendent of Public Instruction

BISMARCK, N.D. – Levi Bachmeier announced Monday morning that he’s running for a full term as North Dakota’s Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Bachmeier was appointed to the position by Governor Kelly Armstrong after former Superintendent Kirsten Baesler left the department to become the Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education at the U.S. Department of Education in Washington.

While saying North Dakota’s public schools ‘are good today,’ Bachmeier says they can ‘be great.’

Prior to joining DPI, Bachmeier served as business manager for the West Fargo School District.
