WEST FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The West Fargo School Board is approving a major staffing increase, with plans to add about 20 new full-time positions in the 2026-2027 school year.
The board voted unanimously Monday night to hire 10 new teachers. Five at the middle school level and five at the high school level.
The plan also adds a career counselor, an assistant principal at Meadowlark Elementary, an elementary instructional coach, an administrative assistant at Horace High, plus a paraprofessional, custodian, special education teacher, speech language pathologist and more.
The district says the new positions will cost just over $810,000 in salaries and are needed because of rising enrollment and recent boundary changes.
