FARGO, N.D. – The Fargo School Board is set to consider a negotiation of the contract of Superintendent, Dr. Cory Steiner.
The discussion follows a Governance Committee conversation.
Steiner has expressed a desire to freeze his salary for the 2026-27 school year due to the District’s budgetary constraints. Board members have expressed interest in potentially extending the superintendent’s contract for a third year.
The board will consider putting together a three-person committee to review the process, with board members Jason Nelson, Greg Clark and Katie Christensen Mineer serving on it. The three will meet with Steiner, review his contract and propose a new contract by no later than the board’s May 12 meeting.
