YWCA of Cass Clay receives $380k through HUD program

WASHINGTON – The YWCA of Cass Clay received more than $380,000 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the continuum of care program for its transitional housing and supportive housing programs.

North Dakota Senator John Hoeven has been working with CEO Erin Prochnow to renew these grants for homelessness service providers.

“These Continuum of Care grants are extremely import to combat homelessness, and we appreciate the organizations and leaders that provide those services,” Hoeven said. “That’s why we worked to pass legislation to ensure this funding will be in place for the current Fiscal Year, as we continue working to provide certainty for these providers in future years. We welcome HUD following through on our legislation for the Q1 grants, and we look forward to the additional renewals that will move forward in Q2.”

Hoeven said grants for Fargo-based Fraser, Ltd. and the Grand Forks Housing Authority will begin their renewal process on April 1.
