Rollercoaster ride in temps….severe storms south

The first severe weather outbreak of the season occurred yesterday in Southern Minnesota:

14 tornado reports and numerous large hail reports.  Thankfully, there were no fatalities from the tornadoes.

Our weather has been a rollercoaster ride in temps from the 30s to the 70s and the next 10 days looks to continue that trend.  We have 2 systems to deal with.  System #1 comes in on Fri/Sat.   Currently, it looks pretty weak, however, our American model (GFS) is trying to crank out some light snow on Friday night into Sat. morning:

I don’t believe this will wind up to be too much to worry about.

Next week starts out MILD ahead of a BIGGER system that will be pulling out of the Rockies.  This is one of the signature storms of the LRC and it’s a biggie!!
