MSUM’s QB Jack Strand signing with Atlanta Falcons

On Saturday, April 25 Minnesota State Moorhead quarterback, Jack Strand agreed to an undrafted free agent deal with the Atlanta Falcons, confirmed by Flag Family Media sports director, James McCarty. Stand was apart of the 2022 recruiting class and spent four seasons in the Dragon red.

The Bloomer, Wis. native, was named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Year twice (2023 and 2025). He also broke multiple conference records including, pass completions (1,247), passing yards (13,161), and passing touchdowns (126).

The six-foot-five-inch signal caller played in 42 career games at MSUM, completing 1,247 of 1,953 passes (64 percent) for 13,161 yards with 126 touchdowns and 50 interceptions. Strand also added nine touchdowns on the ground.

Following the 2025 season Strand accumulated countless honors including being named AFCA Second Team All-America, Walter Camp Football All-America, D2CCA First Team All-America, D2Football.com First Team All-America, and NFF Minnesota Chapter Division II Bobby Bell Impact Player of the Year honoree.

Strand now joins a Falcons quarterback room that currently includes Michael Penix Jr. , Tua Tagovailoa, and Trevor Siemian.
