GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after a rollover crash early Sunday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the 4700 block of Gateway Drive at approximately 4:05 a.m. for a rollover vehicle crash, according to the Grand Forks Police Department.
A white 2006 GMC Sierra had just turned eastbound onto Gateway Drive in the 4700 block when the vehicle increased its speed, as evidenced by tire markings on the roadway. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which began to swerve, went over the curb, struck a tree and rolled over, coming to rest on its driver side.
The driver was identified as Lorenzo Lafromboise. He was arrested for driving under the influence (second offense), no proof of liability insurance, open container, reckless driving and minor in consumption.
Lafromboise was evaluated on scene by Altru paramedics and denied transportation to the hospital. The vehicle was impounded.
No other individuals were involved or injured.
