The Minnesota Twins defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3 on Sunday afternoon in their series finale. The Twins and Blue Jays split the four game series 2-2 while Minnesota won the regular seasons series 4-3.
Joe Ryan left the game after nine pitches and only recording one out with right arm discomfort. Andrew Morris tossed 3 2/3 scoreless innings in relief, earning the win. Taylor Rogers gave up one run over 2 1/3 innings of work. Eric Orze tossed 1 1/3 shutout innings while Kody Funderburk recorded one out. Justin Topa gave up two innings while picking up the ninth inning save.
Victor Caratini, Luke Keaschall, Kody Clemens, and Matt Wallner drove in a run apiece in the win.
Minnesota rose to 15-20 on the season.
The Twins have an off day on Monday before heading to Washington D.C. to square off with the Nationals beginning on Tuesday night with first pitch at 5:45 p.m. and game coverage available on Twins.TV. Taj Bradley will be on the mound for Minnesota while Cade Cavalli counters for Washington.
