The Minnesota Wild fell to the Colorado Avalanche 9-6 in Game One of their Westerner Conference Semifinals series on Sunday night.
Quinn Hughes paced the Wild offense with one goal and two assists. Marcus Foligno, Ryan Hartman, Marcus Johansson, and Vladimir Tarasenko each added a goal in the game. Kirill Kaprizov, Michael McCarron, Yakov Trenin, and Danila Yurov added an assist apiece.

Jesper Wallstedt saw 42 shots in net, saving 34 of them. Colorado’s Scott Wedgewood saved 30 of 36 shots faced between the pipes.
Colorado now leads the best-of-seven series 1-0. Game 2 will be on Tuesday night in Denver with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. and full game coverage available on ESPN.
