Portion of Main Avenue reopens in Fargo after fire response

UPDATE – The Fargo Fire Department said no one was hurt after pallets behind a dumpster caught fire behind the Asian and American Market on Main Avenue.

Crews responded to the 1400 block of Main Avenue around 1:30 on Thursday, May 7. A second alarm was called to bring in additional crews and the flames were put out after 10 minutes.

The outside of the building was damaged. The fire’s cause is under investigation.

 

FARGO, N.D. – Main Avenue between 5th Street South and University Drive South has reopened after a fire.

Fargo Police said crews were working on knocking down flames on the 1300 block of Main Avenue beginning around 1:45 PM on Thursday, May 7. The road reopened around an hour later.

Authorities say more information will be released in a news release.
