Attic fire leaves Moorhead home unlivable

MOORHEAD, Minn. – A family is displaced after a Moorhead house fire.

Crews responded to the 2400 block of 13th Street South around 11:15 AM on Thursday, May 7.

Contractors were working on the HVAC system in the attic when flames broke out.

Authorities say they were able to get out of the house with minor injuries and told the homeowner who called 9-1-1.

The fire caused significant damage to the roof and two rooms.

Crews say the home isn’t livable and the fire’s cause is under investigation.
