Driver found dead in vehicle the day after a crash near Hope, N.D.

STEELE COUNTY, N.D. – A Hope, North Dakota man died in a Steele County crash the night of Friday, May 15 and the vehicle was found the next morning.

It happened at 12th Street and 126th Avenue Southeast two miles northwest of Pillsbury.

The Highway Patrol said the pickup failed to negotiate a curve and struck an empty bulldozer in a field.

Authorities found the vehicle and the 42-year-old driver around 9:30 AM on Saturday, May 16. They say he wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

The crash remains under investigation.
