Construction begins Monday on I-94 in Fargo-Moorhead, 32nd Ave S & Downtown Fargo

FARGO-MOORHEAD – Expect to see more orange in Fargo-Moorhead on Monday, May 18 for road construction.

Expect slowdowns on Intestate 94.

Crews will close lanes to install the bases and structure for a new message board on the North Dakota side of the Red River bridge. It’s part of the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s communications upgrade project. There may be times when no workers are at the project while concrete is drying.

MNDOT expects the work to last three weeks.

Also beginning Monday, the intersection of 15th Street and 32nd Street South in Fargo will close to work on underground utilities. Work is expected to last one week.

After work is finished, the intersection of University Drive and 32nd Avenue South will close.

More work beginning Monday is on NP Avenue which will close between 4th and 2nd streets north in Downtown Fargo.

This is the start of the NP Avenue reconstruction project which will fully reconstruct underground utilities and road. The project is expected to be completed this fall.

Also happening Monday, eastbound Main Avenue will be shifted into the center turn lane between Broadway and 4th Street North in Downtown Fargo.

A crane will work on a building with work expected to take one week.
