November 2025 – Officer Lee Mewes of the West Fargo Police Department
Officer Mewes is from Colgate, ND where he graduated from Hope-Page High School. He went on to attend Bismarck State College – Paramedic Technology and North Dakota State Peace Officer Academy.
Mewes was a police officer/paramedic with Rolla Police Department and a deputy with Steele County Sheriff’s Office, each for a year. He spent 14 years as a deputy with Grand Fork County Sheriff’s Office.
Mewes is also a US Army Veteran. He served as a combat medic with one tour to Afghanistan. Prior to being hired by West Fargo Police Department as a police officer on June 26, 2023, Mewes was a plumber and drain technician at Roto-Rooter.
When not working Mewes enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and archery.
