(Bismarck, ND) – Congressman Kelly Armstrong has run a race against Lieutenant Governor Tammy Miller that has been laced with negative advertising.
“This is the first campaign that we’ve ever done that,” he said of the negative advertising. “You have to contrast yourself from your opponent somehow.”
Armstrong said he has had the chance to visit with a lot of residents in North Dakota among the campaign trails.
“We try to get out and talk to everybody,” he said.
Facing the end of his time in Congress, Armstrong has a strong message to his successor.
“When you get the opportunity, get out there,” he said. “There’s certain things about Congress that, if you’ve never served there, you don’t know anything about.”
