(Mankato, MN) — Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is telling Minnesota voters to go to the polls this fall.
The former Democratic presidential candidate received a warm welcome on Friday during a speech at Minnesota State University in Mankato. Sanders also spoke to reporters before the event and stressed that issues affecting working and middle-class families are not being dealt with in Washington.
Sanders said sitting out in November is not acceptable, since having a democracy means that everyone needs to take part in the election process.
