BECKER COUNTY, MN — A man is dead following gunfire near Frazee early Saturday morning.
The Becker County Sheriff’s Office responded at approximately 1:20 a.m. to Burlington Township, near Frazee. On arrival, authorities attempted life-saving measures but later pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim’s name is expected to be released once next of kin is notified.
Deputies say Frazee resident Willis McDonald was arrested south of the town in connection to the incident, and is currently being held in the Becker County Jail.
Authorities believe the incident is isolated, and assert there is no perceived threat to the public.
