(CLAY COUNTY, MINN) – Five people were hurt, one critically, when a vehicle left the roadway and later rolled over in Clay County this past weekend.
Sheriff Mark Empting says authorities, along with Sanford Ambulance and the Dilworth Fire Department, were dispatched to a report of a crash near the intersection of 80th Avenue and 2nd Street North.
The initial call came in from a passenger in the Ford Fusion that crashed.
Authorities concluded that a 21-year-old man who was driving the car with 4 other passengers ran off the roadway and into a field, before striking the ditch and flipping.
All of the injured are in their early 20’s.
Among them was a 23-year old Britton, South Dakota man who was critically hurt.
Alcohol is believed to be involved, and the crash is under investigation.
