Bennett Elementary to Host Popsicle Party

Starting school for the very first time has got to be near the top of your “life’s biggest events” list when you are five years old. Treats make the transition from summer into that first year of school a bit easier.

Bennett Elementary incoming kindergarten students and their families have been invited to enjoy popsicles together on the Bennett Elementary School playground on Tuesday, August 13. They will be joined by the school’s principal. The gathering is intended to allow the students to become more familiar with the school, school campus, and to help the kindergarteners’ families get to know one another in a social setting. The informal gathering is an effort to make the transition into the first year of school less stressful for the new students.

The event betgins at 6:30 p.m. at the K-1 playground area, located on the south side of Bennett Elementary School, 2000 South 58th Avenue.

This annual event is sponsored by the Bennett Elementary Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).
