3 AM UPDATE: Active police situation in Moorhead

 

3AM UPDATE: The scene was cleared at around 12:45 a.m. No arrests were made. They did not find the suspect. Police are continuing to investigate.

12 AM UPDATE: According to Valley News Live, police have confirmed that they responded to the call of a person that had lacerations to their face. 

The victim indicated that the suspect was still inside.

Police are remaining on scene.

The victim is receiving treatment at Essentia.

Police say the victim and the suspect are acquaintances.  

11:15 PM UPDATE: Valley News Live’s Katie Aupperle tells WZFG News that authorities are inside the building. 

ORIGINAL STORY: Police are currently surrounding an apartment building in the 1100 block of 18th and 1/2 Street South in Moorhead, with guns drawn.

The original call came in as someone who was cut with a knife, just after 10 p.m.

One man is being treated on scene for unknown injuries by FM Ambulance.

A Valley News Live reporter says that it appears the victim has a bandaged neck.
