Fargo Public Library to host 'Silver Wings, Flying Dreams' film and discussion

As part of the 2019 One Book, One Community reading project, the Fargo Public Library will host a free screening and discussion of the documentary “Silver Wings, Flying Dreams: The Complete Story of the Women Air Force Service Pilots” on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m. at the downtown Main Library.

The film highlights the bravery and sacrifices made by America's female aviation heroes. A discussion will follow with retired Air Force Lt. Col. Amanda Brandt, assistant professor with the University of North Dakota School of Aerospace in Grand Forks. She will discuss her role as part of the record-setting flight by an all-female air crew from the Grand Forks Air Force Base. This event is open to all ages. For details, contact Lori West at 701.476.5977.
