Centennial students to celebrate achieving walk-a-thon goal

This afternoon, Centennial Elementary Principal Liann Hanson will wear an ice-cream costume for the day. Students will gather in the gymnasium to watch as she is covered in sundae toppings by the top fundraiser for each grade. Toppings are strawberry, caramel, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, cherries, and whipped cream.

A goal was set of raising $20,000 for the Centennial Walk-A-Thon, which was held Friday, September 27. Students met and achieved that challenge, collecting more than $26,000 in donations from family and friends.

All funds raised will go to the Centennial PTO to help support numerous grants and programs within the school.
