FPS District Office Announces Three Administrative Assignments

 

Fargo Public Schools announces the assignments of administrative intern positions within the District.

Matthew Peck has been named an administrative intern for Horace Mann Roosevelt Elementary School. Peck will assume this position in late August, for the beginning of the 2018-19 school year.

Peck began teaching at Fargo Public Schools in 2012 as a third grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary School and has served as an English Learner (EL) teacher at Horace Mann Roosevelt Elementary for the past six years. Prior to joining Fargo Public Schools, Peck served as a fourth and fifth grade EL summer school teacher for West Fargo Public Schools. Peck has served as the head coach for Post 400 Legion Baseball in Fargo, freshmen boys basketball coach at North High School, and junior varsity baseball coach at Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Public Schools.

Peck holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree from Minnesota State University-Moorhead. In addition, he is in the process of obtaining his Master of Science in Educational Leadership degree from Minnesota State University-Moorhead.

Eric Larson has been named an administrative intern for Kennedy Elementary School. Larson will assume this position in late August, for the beginning of the 2018-19 school year.

Larson joined Fargo Public Schools in 2014 as a fifth grade teacher at Ed Clapp Elementary School in Fargo. Prior to joining the Fargo Public Schools, Larson taught grades three through six at Westbrook-Walnut Grove Elementary School in Minnesota from 1998-2016. Larson has 16 years of coaching experience in varsity volleyball, junior high basketball, varsity track, and junior high football.

Larson holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education degree from Minnesota State University-Moorhead and Master in Arts degree in Education from St. Mary’s University-Minneapolis. He is in the process of obtaining his K-12 Principal License through Minnesota State University-Moorhead.

Jacob Knodel has been named an administrative intern for Eagles Elementary School. Knodel will assume this position in late August, for the beginning of the 2018-19 school year.

Knodel joined Fargo Public Schools in 2010 as EL reading language arts instructor. Most recently, he was a reading intervention instructor for grades six through eight at Discovery Middle School. Knodel has served as an eighth grade football coach, sixth through eighth grade wrestling coach, and seventh and eighth grade track coach, as well as a Student Leadership advisor.

Knodel holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary English Education degree from North Dakota State University and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Minnesota State University-Moorhead.
