Students to receive donation for Husky Hutch

On Wednesday, March 11, two representatives from South Bark: Daycare + Grooming + Boarding are presenting a check donation to Kristen Scholand’s fourth grade Clara Barton Elementary School students for the Husky Hutch Food Pantry.

Starting in December, the students collaborated with South Bark through an art project. The fourth graders created artwork that was turned into greeting cards, tote bags, and T-shirts sold at South Bark. Through the collaboration, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the items would come back to support Husky Hutch.

The check donation amount will be disclosed at the presentation.

The purpose of the Husky Hutch is to help alleviate child hunger through the provision of food to children and their families at school. The Husky Hutch is located on the grounds of the school and intended to provide a readily accessible source of food assistance to low-income students and their families.
