WADENA COUNTY, MN — A 19-year-old is recovering after a near drowning in Menahga.
The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office says the male went underwater in Menahga City Beach on August 11th and did not surface for approximately two minutes. Nearby individuals located the male and started CPR. The male started breathing on his own and was taken to Essentia Health in Park Rapids.
“The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office wishes to thank all those responsible for the positive outcome of this near tragedy. Good work to all those involved!” wrote Stg. Bryan Savolja in a statement on social media.
