Grand Forks Accident Injures Juvenile

On September 12, 2018 officers from the Grand Forks Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of 32nd Ave. South and South 20th Street for a report of a vehicle which had struck a pedestrian.

Initial investigation revealed that a 2018 Chevy Suburban driven by 26 year old Tiffany Noreikis, of Warren, Minn., was westbound on 32nd Avenue South approaching the crosswalk east of the intersection of 20th St. and 32nd Avenue South, when she struck a juvenile male riding his bike, who was northbound in the crosswalk. Investigations shows Noreikis had the right of way at the time of the crash and the bicycle crossed against the do not walk signal.

The juvenile was transported to Altru Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries or property damage was reported.  The accident is currently under investigation.
