West Fargo Coach Released

The West Fargo School District says it has released one of its athletic coaches.

According to a statement provided by Heather Leas, Public Relations Coordinator for the district, “West Fargo Public Schools has released Ronald Hehn from his position as Head Girls Swim Coach at West Fargo High School based on inappropriate coaching practices.  Mr. Hehn will not have any additional contact with student athletes in any current or future role as a coach or educator in the West Fargo School District.  Mr. Hehn was not a teacher for the school district.  West Fargo Public Schools is committed to providing all students a positive academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular experience.”

Leas says that since the matter involves both personnel and students, no additional information will be released at this time.

The interim coach will be Barb Fisher.  She also coaches for the Packer boys’ swim team.
