Essentia Health Hosts Inspirational Cancer Journey Conference

Essentia Health is hosting their annual Cancer Journey Conference on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Courtyard by Marriott, 1080 28th Ave South in Moorhead. This is a day devoted to educating and empowering cancer survivors and their network of supporters, family and friends.

Join us for interactive learning sessions, friendly discussions and inspiring messages of hope and healing. The conference will include keynote speaker, Ruth Bachman sharing her perspective on “Growing Through the Narrow Spots.” Bachman’s mission is to equip individuals with the perspective and resources necessary to navigate the inevitable changes that occur in life, by design or by happenstance, while recognizing the powerful potential for transformation by embracing “what is”. This mission grew out of a life-changing diagnosis and treatment of cancer resulting in the amputation of her dominant left hand.

“The Cancer Journey Conference allows cancer survivors and their supporters an opportunity for fellowship and hope as they connect with one another while hearing about topics that impact their lives,” says Brie Taralson, Cancer Center Operations Manager. “We often hear from people that they come as strangers and leave as friends. It is an inspirational and heart-warming event.”

This day-long conference includes breakfast, keynote speaker, a variety of breakout sessions, survivor recognition, lunch, vendor fair with specially curated vendors featuring information, products and services tailored to cancer survivors, a cupcakes and conversation session, survivor panel discussion and door prizes.
