An odd sight late Sunday night.
At about 8:45 p.m., the North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Highway 2, three miles west of Emerado.
According to the news release, a 2018 Chevy Traverse, 32-year-old Nicola Paulson was driving her vehicle west on Highway 2 when she struck a moose. The moose was killed, and Paulson was uninjured. The Patrol says the moose fell into the lanes of traffic after the collision, and the Emerado Fire Department was called to assist in removing the moose from the roadway.
