Fargo Fire Responds to High Rise Fire

 

The Fargo Fire Department responded to a high rise fire early Saturday morning.

According to a news release from the Fargo Fire Department, the call came in at 6:15 a.m. to the 14thfloor of a 22 story residential high rise, located at 101 2nd Street South.

While en route, firefighters found out that smoke and water was reported on the 12th and 13th floors.

When firefighters arrived, they found a fire in an apartment on the 14th floor, which was being controlled by a single head of the fire sprinkler system.

The first crew to arrive found that the occupant of the apartment was home when the fire started and was removed to safety and evaluated by FM Ambulance, with no injuries found.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
