The Waubun School was placed on lockdown shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday due to a report of a person with a weapon near the school building.
A subsequent investigation found the claim to be unfounded, which meant after a rigorous search, the report was not substantiated.
The investigation is ongoing.
The lockdown was lifted early Tuesday afternoon.
