Drayton Man Injured In UTV Rollover

The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) is assisting the Pembina County Sheriffs Office in investigating a rollover in rural Drayton Wednesday night. According to Sgt. Adam Dvorak of the NDHP, the crash occurred Wednesday night at 10:05pm on private property in Pembina County. The NDHP says a 2018 Polaris Ranger, driven by 32-year-old Derek Grzadzieleski, rolled, ejecting Grzadzieleski. Dvorak says the driver was not wearing a seat belt or helmet, suffered serious injuries, and was transported by ambulance to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Dvorak says the Patrol encourages drivers to wear helmets and seat belts in a UTV. Those under the age of 18 are required, by state law, to wear a helmet. Wednesday’s accident is still under investigation.
